Filing your New Hampshire state tax returnNew Hampshire income tax is very simple. The state does not apply a tax to salaries and wages. Income earned from dividends and interest is taxed at a rate of 5%.
If you have dividend or interest earnings totaling more than $2,400 ($4,800 for joint filers) per year, then you must file a New Hampshire state tax return. The return, From DP-10, is due on April 15th.
New Hampshire also imposes a state estate tax. The New Hampshire estate tax is based on the federal income tax. It is equal to the credit received on your federal tax return for the estate taxes paid. This tax must be paid within 9 months from the death of the decedent.
